Although gematria values are widely published on the internet they are also incorrect for use with the Torah. The correct values are given in this book.<br /><br />Advisory notice: The following is original research on a topic that was deemed a restricted area of study by Judah the Patriarch. Therefore you will not find any direct references to it in either the Talmud or the Mishnah although the Rambam and others discuss Merkabah in an indirect fashion.<br /><br />While Jews were not forbidden the study of the Merkabah, they were restricted from discussing the matter directly with one another or teaching it, and it was recommended that only the head of a Yeshiva who was of impeccable moral character and who was over 40 years old should study it.
